This is a recipe that I was taught to make by a camper who came for the summer from France. We found a recipe online that was similar to the dish her mom made for their family. After making it a few times and always having too much crumble, I adapted the proportions, and now it comes out perfectly. This is one of the simplest, most basic recipes there is, and it's great for getting kids to practice peeling and cutting apples. We made this the other day, and Ben discovered that he doesn't like apple crumble. Mark had about three portions. I loved it. So I would say it was a pretty good success, but we probably won't make it again soon because I try to make things that both kids like.
